Playmobil Fun Park
I am aware that Playmobil is a known thing - but if I personally knew of it, it wasn’t as a separate, significant LEGO competitor. But it most definitely is. We had wanted to close the trip out with something easy and especially fun for Ava, and on a recommendation, from a friend we looked into it. That said, in looking for it, we almost ended up going to Germany’s Legoland instead, which would have been a shame, as this was a blast (and reasonably priced - looking at you LEGO).
We woke up pretty early in the morning to get to the train station, as Playmobil Fun Park was a bit away in Nuremberg. Alas, we missed our intended train due to timing it too tight and being outsmarted by the ticket machines… But, shortly after, we were on our way.
The best way to describe Playmobil Fun Park is as a giant, very well built out playground with some of the equipment bordering on dangerous. So yeah, it’s great. Unlike an amusement park, most of the day is spent being active, not just being on a ride. Ava was, at times, a bit overwhelmed with the opportunities at hand. For a trip with kids to Germany, I couldn’t recommend it more.
